
The Barber dime is a United States coin minted between 1892 and 1916 that's named after its designer, Charles E. Barber, the Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint from 1879 to 1917. The coin is 90% silver and 10% copper, has a diameter of 17.91 mm (0.705 in), and weighs 2.500 g. The obverse of the coin features a Liberty Head motif with Miss Liberty facing right, wearing a Phrygian cap and laurel wreath, and the word "LIBERTY" in a band above her forehead.
