1945 D WALKING LIBERTY HALVE 90% SIlver FREE SHIPPING

The Walking Liberty Half Dollar, a 50-cent coin, was minted from 1916 to 1947 and is considered a symbol of freedom and beauty. The coin's history can be traced back to President Theodore Roosevelt's "Renaissance of American Coinage," which began in the early 20th century as an effort to redesign all circulating coins. The United States Mint held a design competition in 1916 to replace the Barber Half Dollar, which had been in use for over 20 years. The winning design was created by American sculptor Adolph A. Weinman, a member of the Commission of Fine Arts.
